My Three Things: Felon trump, Israel, Iran
Rubio likely spoke the truth. Netanyahu told felon trump that they were going to attack, and Iranian retaliation would probably also be against USA forces. So, the United States had better join Israel’s attack. Our felon fell for the play, never daring to think for a second that he could order Bibi to cancel his attack. Yet again, the Israeli tail wagged the USA dog.
Russia and China fear unrest in their own populations; they started pulling back from Iran during their demonstrations, and well before the attacks. Importantly, Israel’s and felon trump’s disruption of oil supplies benefits Russia greatly, as its war machine was starving because of falling revenue from low-priced oil. China has both Russian oil and massive “new energy” installations to cushion this oil disruption, which shows the weakness of our own felon’s obsession with fossil fuels. Further jubilation exists because the USA draws down critical military resources, exhausts its military, and fosters hostility from allies and much of the world.
The United States does not have a strategic solution. This century, Israel continually attempted to convince every president to attack Iran. Bibi Netanyahu finally found his man in a weak and not very bright felon trump. Iran served as a regional counter to Israeli expansion since Israel’s invasion and partial occupation of Lebanon in the 1980s. Netanyahu wanted it gone or dramatically weakened. Now Israeli forces are once again invading Lebanon.
The tragedy for the United States, Iran, and the rest of the world is that felon trump reportedly had a deal on his desk that exceeded the original agreement with the USA and gave him a big win. Given the felon’s personal history of repeated failures and contract-breaking, it should be no surprise that our convicted criminal president snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. “Con men are easy to con” was likely Netanyahu’s thought when the USA agreed to join Israel in starting a war with Iran.
